Why You Should Use Model Magic Air Dry Clay

AAH - How I use Model Magic. 10/11/19 - Selling Art/Making Art/Creative Process/How to Over the years a common review of my videos brings up the material I love the most. Model Magic is a modeling clay So many people over the years have asked questions about using this clay that I have come up with some popular questions and answers.  Q: What is Model Magic? Glancing at this packing you might think this will too child oriented for any practical use and to a degree this is correct. Using the clay straight from the package leads to major problems such as uneven texture and drying or worse cracking.  Q. How do I fix texture and cracking? To remedy this I use a spritzer bottle filled with water to spray my clay as I am sculpting to keep it hydrated. I will also keep some in a plastic zip-lock bag and spray water in when it begins to dry. By controlling the hydration of the clay it allows for the clay to dry evenly and when it has fully dried (about 4 d...

Graphic 45 Design Team Audition

Hello my name is Nicole and welcome to my blog, in this post I will list 3 projects and a link to my video where I am creating the Mother Goose tag. Here is what I enjoy about crafting with paper, I can make functional work like a greeting card, envelopes and stationary for planners or calendars or I can make art work for decoration. Paper crafting has been a long time hobby of mine and I enjoy creating tags and letters mainly, I actually think I can make tags all day. I like creating mixed media, ever since I took a class on it in college. I like to make embellishments for my pieces but I also love stickers and cut-a-part's because they guarantee to match with whatever paper collection I am using. Below you will see three projects I created, two are using the Graphic 45 paper collection Mother Goose 8x8 pad. The last one is using the Prima Something Blue 6x6 stack. I hope you enjoy my paper creations! The first project is my Mother Goose tag. I love nursery rhymes and fairy ta...

Prima wall hanging

Tonight I created a wall hanging from a wooden frame I bought from AC Moore. I used flowers from my local discount store, not Dollar Tree. The paper is Prima's Something Blue paper pack. I cut some of the journal cards out to stuff into the pocket I made. I made the pocket by gluing three journal cards together and embellished them with washi tape on the sides. I painted the frame with gold paint and while it was wet I poured glitter onto the frame. I love how this turned out and will go right onto the wall in my room.
