#Inktober 2018 1 week recap

Hi everyone welcome to my Inktober for 2018. This year I have tried to make more of an effort to have a complete idea. My goal is to develop a method for creating a complete idea. I do not always think through my drawings and often times end up with an unfinished sketch or rough idea. So this year I have been making the effort to go forward until a drawing is finished. I'm not looking to make 31 drawings just 31 post to my social media. The posts will be in various stages of development because I need to work on creating a complete idea. I used to hate making a solid composition and purposely wanted an unfinished idea but now that I'm older I see how truly unfinished my work looked, it just wasn't complete. So now I'm working on what  complete means to me and what I consider a complete piece. If you want to see all of the photos from Inktober 2018 please look at my instagram Glitter_Witch_Crafts to see how everything turned out. This was my first post for the ...

Card Project Sare - Pink Envelope and Mini File Folder

Hello everyone in this post I will be showing you a finished project. This was one of those projects where you aren't sure where to start out but you end up finishing with something really great. In this project I used two pieces of pink colored card stock, pastel pink pigment inks from Michaels. If you want to know what I think of those inks then ready my review here . So here is how I made this set of cards. The mini folder can be used to hold items it is about half the size of a regular file folder or less. I took my Darice embossing folder and embossed the two sheets of colored card stock. Then I scored and cut my card into a panel. I stamped my sentiments on white card stock and gave them some dimension with foam squares. The mini file folder is really easy to make if you have the We Are Memory Keepers File folder punch board or the 123 Punch Board. I do not own to the File Punch (though I want it), I used the 123 Board, on the board there is an arrow shaped punch and that c...

Prima wall hanging

Tonight I created a wall hanging from a wooden frame I bought from AC Moore. I used flowers from my local discount store, not Dollar Tree. The paper is Prima's Something Blue paper pack. I cut some of the journal cards out to stuff into the pocket I made. I made the pocket by gluing three journal cards together and embellished them with washi tape on the sides. I painted the frame with gold paint and while it was wet I poured glitter onto the frame. I love how this turned out and will go right onto the wall in my room.

Graphic 45 Mother Goose Tag

Here is my first blog post for graphic 45's design team cast call. This tag is using the Mother Goose 8x8 collection. I also cut pieces from the Prima nursery rhyme collection journal card book. I made a pocket with the journal card and fussy cut some flowers to make a cluster on one side. I love the way this tag came out because I have admired the work of many youtubers and bloggers who make amazing work with graphic 45 papers and I am happy to see that I can also create something amazing. I also filmed a youtube video that I will link as soon as I am done editing it so everyone can see the process.

Weekly Journal Spreads

These are my journal spreads for week 36/52. This week was horrible there were such rude and nasty people who just could not for the life of themselves be decent. At my job we're all inservice training courses and maybe the whole planet needs service training. Oh well this weeks over and a new week is coming with more surprises whether good or bad.
