EGL Resin Coffins

So two months ago I started on a trip down resin road and I have not yet come back. I really love making coffins specifically. I like geometric shapes and am working on building a collection of molds in various shapes like triangles, hexagons, squares ect.

These are just 6 of the designs Ive come up with, if you want to see more designs follow me on instagram: glitter_witch_crafts I have been working on a method for design and how to make a composition. So far I've worked out a plan to make these work.

First off I am using a mold from Sophie and Toffee and its a good mold. There are replicas on ebay and amazon. At this moment I am looking for smaller coffin molds to make daintier charms but cannot find any, now Sophie & Toffee are coming out with another coffin shape mold but I would have to subscribe to get it and I am not looking to take this subscription again. I liked getting the different molds but alot of them I just dont use so I have ventured out to look for solo molds from Etsy, amazon, Ebay....you get the jist.

So if you are wondering how can I too make a beautiful EGL coffin piece? First off I will say composition is everything. I like to draw out my ideas really roughly and then plot out what materials I am looking to use. That means going through my stash and seeing what I have available. If I need to buy something for my project I will hold off until can get something similar or the actual item is available. Sketching is your best friend, work it all out on paper before you waste your resin and supplies. This way you have a plan of action to follow and the steps wont seem as tedious.  Generally I put in about 3 layers of resin on these, some are encapsulated some arent.

Estee Lauder Gilded Rose Set

Bought these a while ago but I am just posting these as a review. These are a set of eyeshadows and marbleized shimmer powder. The eyeshadows come gilded but the gold is not incorporated into the shadows. These are satin colors one light baby pink, a magenta pink, a peachy tan pink, and the fourth is a tawny rose color. Super close to matte powders and a little disappointing because the "rose gold" overlay comes right off with one swipe. The colors are very nice though even if the overlay goes away. The marble shimmer powder feels good on my skin but as I have some tan left on my skin the rose blends a little bit too much. So a fair skin or yellowed skin will really benefit from the color in the marble if you want to use it as a blush. Otherwise the shimmer looks good as a general highlight. I did not buy both at the same time I got them from my local CCO for around 16.00 a piece. Compared to retail Estee Lauder prices this is very cheap. I wished there was a rose gold match...

Current obsession

Final fanatsy tactics: war of the lions version Such a hard game!! Not like the new tactics and I cannot wait to try tactics ogre...it's such a complicated yet beautifully told story and if you love FF12 or any Ivalician tale then you must play tactics. I highly recommend :)

What have I been doing?

So where have I been this year?  To start I have been promoted twice to two different departments and have to move in October. Things have been so crazy I havent been able to keep up with anything. But! To let you all know, I made a new instagram, called glitter_witch_crafts where I will be posting photos of hauls and craft projects. I will continue to use my youtube channel but i will be renaming it so that everything is consistent. So in other words I will be back but not effectively until November/December but I promise to have really great demos and product reviews here and on a schedule! Follow my new instagram for updates and posts.
